DOH Issues High Heat Guidance

Last week, the Department of Health (DOH) issued high heat guidance for hospitals, nursing homes, adult care facilities (ACFs), home care agencies, hospices, and diagnostic and treatment centers as a reminder about the dangers of heat exposure to residents/patients and vulnerable populations. LeadingAge NY members are encouraged to review the guidance and take all necessary safety measures during the summer months to keep both staff and residents/patients safe.
