DOH Issues Guidance for Upcoming Solar Eclipse

The NYS Department of Health (DOH) has issued guidance for hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, home health agencies, hospices, and all other health care providers regarding the upcoming total solar eclipse.

The total solar eclipse will occur in NY on April 8, 2024. Depending upon your location, the timing will vary; the path of totality stretches from Western to Northern NY. It is expected that this event will have a significant impact on the state. Members are encouraged to take the time to review the guidance to prepare your facilities and staff.
