DOH Holds Nursing Home Infection Prevention Webinar
(Feb. 11, 2025) On Feb. 6, 2025, the Department of Health (DOH) held a Nursing Home Infection Prevention webinar highlighting the changes made to the 2025 Infection Control Audit. Facilities will no longer have to upload all of their Infection Control Audits to be in compliance. If any changes were made to an infection control policy after their 2024 submission, the facility will upload the policy and highlight the area where the change occurred. If no changes were made to their infection control policies, the facility will upload the signed and dated attestation form and submit. No further action is required.
The facility Administrator will receive a letter from DOH that will include the date the audit needs to be submitted by, as well as the attestation form. A new link to the updated Drupal survey and instructions on how to navigate to the survey will be provided in the letter. Facilities will not be able to upload or submit the survey prior to receiving the letter. As with the previous Drupal survey, progress will not be saved, and facilities will need to complete the survey at one time.
DOH encourages facilities to make sure that their contact information is accurate in the Health Commerce System (HCS), as the letter will be sent to the Administrator listed in the HCS.
