DOH Consolidates HCS Roles and Creates Resource for Coordinators
(Jan. 20, 2026) On Jan. 15th, the Department of Health (DOH) sent a message entitled System Enhancement Announcement: Consolidation of Coordinator Roles and Introduction of the Coordinators' Corner. The message pertains to DOH-regulated providers who must have Health Commerce System (HCS) accounts. It states:
As part of our continuous efforts to optimize the Health Commerce System (HCS) structure, we have successfully merged the functionalities of the HPN Coordinator and HIN Coordinator roles into a newly established HCS Coordinator. We want to assure you that this change requires no action on your part or that of your organization.
Furthermore, we are excited to introduce a valuable new resource specifically curated for Coordinators: the Coordinators' Corner. This dedicated page on our Help Center has been developed to provide you with the most current information, including detailed responsibilities, step-by-step guides, and answers to common inquiries. We highly recommend familiarizing yourself with the Coordinators' Corner to leverage these updated resources.
