DOH will be issuing notices to small groups of nursing homes directing them to complete their annual online infection prevention survey on a phased basis beginning in January 2024. Facilities that have low ratings on inspections, quality measures, or staffing; Special Focus Facilities; and Special Focus Candidates will be prioritized for surveys early in the year. Facilities will have 30 days from the issuance of their notice to submit the online survey.

Providers should use the most current version that is available on the eMedNY website.

In a webinar held on Dec. 13^th, DOH staff clarified that nursing home infection prevention audit surveys will be due annually on facility-specific due dates. A recording of the webinar is available here.
