Candidates will be able to attempt the Nursing Home Administrator examination up to four times in 12 months, instead of three attempts in a five-year period. Comments must be submitted to DOH by Dec. 12, 2022.

The waiver will allow temporary nurse aides who have not yet completed their certified nurse aide training and testing to continue to work as nurse aides until the end of the federal COVID public health emergency.  LeadingAge NY has asked NYS DOH to clarify the scope of the waiver.
