Healthy Aging and New Nursing Home Transfer of Ownership Regulations Discussed at PHHPC Meetings The Public Health and Health Planning Council reviewed the progress of the State's Prevention Agenda and healthy aging initiatives on March 1st and considered nursing home transfer of ownership applications under new character and competence regulations on March 2nd. LeadingAge NY offered comments on the State's Medicaid waiver concept paper and its approach to healthy aging at the March 1st meeting.

Nursing Home Minimum Nursing Hours and Minimum Direct Care Spending Requirements On Hold On Dec. 31st, Governor Hochul issued an executive order temporarily suspending the minimum nursing hours (3.5 hours per resident day) and minimum direct care spending (70/40) requirements for nursing homes until Jan. 30, 2022.
