Revised Nursing Home Administrator Regulations Relax Some Requirements Candidates now have the opportunity to attempt the Nursing Home Administrator examination up to four times in an annual period, instead of three attempts in a five-year period. The new regulations also allow facilities with less than 80 beds to serve as training sites.

PHHPC Committee Considers Health Equity CON Reg, Amendments to PPE Stockpile Reg, and COVID-19 Vaccination Mandate Removal The Public Health and Health Planning Council's Codes Committee recommended adoption of the Health Equity Certificate of Need regulation and approval of a change in the PPE stockpile requirements for COVID-19-only nursing homes. It also discussed the removal of the COVID-19 vaccination mandate for health care personnel.

Health Equity CON Requirements Take Effect June 22nd Nursing homes and other Article 28 facilities will be required to solicit stakeholder input and submit independent health equity impact assessments of CON applications involving major construction or changes in services or bed count. The requirements will apply to CON applications submitted on or after June 22nd.
