Between Feb. 3^rd and March 6, 2020, Census Bureau representatives will be calling nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospice residences to explain the 2020 Census enumeration process, collect certain identifying information about the facility, obtain the facility's preferred enumeration method, and schedule a date and time for the Census Bureau to visit the facility to conduct the enumeration, if necessary.

Long term care and senior services providers can help to ensure that the people they serve are counted in the 2020 Census so that New York secures a fair share of federal funding and representation in Washington. Nursing homes and assisted living facilities will be contacted by the Census Bureau in January and February about their roles in supporting the Census.
