Members are encouraged to share their insights and experiences utilizing the LIHTC QAPs for senior housing development in anticipation of a public comment period beginning later this year.

The Small Rental Development Initiative supports the creation of small rental developments of 20 or fewer units.

Among other provisions, the actions create a “Pro-Housing Community” designation that could give localities a leg up in competing for the State’s discretionary community development funds.

Up to $25 million in funding is now available to support activities that increase access to decent, safe, and affordable housing throughout the state.

Funds can be used for activities related to rental housing for households with extremely low incomes.
