HUD’s COVID-19 Test Kit Ordering Portal Is Now Live
LeadingAge National, the White House COVID-19 Response Team, and the U.S. Departments of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Health and Human Services (HHS) have teamed up to offer a free COVID-19 test kit ordering portal for Section 202 providers.
Owners of Section 202 elderly housing properties may register at the Health Partner Ordering Portal (HPOP) to begin requesting weekly shipments of QuickVue At-Home OTC COVID-19 Test kits for delivery to their properties for distribution. The minimum order is one package of 45 test kits containing two tests per kit, and deliveries can be expected within seven to 10 days of order submission. Owners may request up to 2,000 packages – or 90,000 test kits – per week.
Instructions on how to register and order test kits can be found here; additional information is also provided on the slides located here. HUD will provide a training session in early January for owners who need additional information to complete the registration process.
