HUD to Host LeadingAge-Requested Budget Training for Section 202 PRACs

(July 16, 2024) On Tues., Aug. 13th at 2 p.m. ET, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will host a training on the annual budget increase process for Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly properties. Attendees will learn how to fill out a Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC) calculation budget worksheet and create and review Service Coordinator budgets that are submitted to HUD annually through the Budget-Based Rent Increase (BBRI) process.

Because of inconsistencies and lack of transparency across various HUD regions in approving budget increase requests, LeadingAge advocated for HUD to host trainings for both housing professionals and HUD staff.

The free, virtual training will take place on Tues., Aug. 13th from 2-3 p.m. ET. Register via the HUD Exchange here.
