HUD to Complete CSP Payments in Waves This Fall

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is working to complete the final COVID-19 Supplemental Payments (CSPs) to multifamily housing (MFH) providers in waves this fall.

In recent years, HUD-assisted MFH providers were able to request reimbursements from HUD for COVID-related expenses at their properties, including the cost of certain capital expenses to help communities prepare for or respond to the pandemic. HUD accepted the final round of requests earlier this year, and, once completed, capital projects need to be verified and sent to HUD to ensure reimbursement.

HUD made one wave of CSP capital project payments at the end of July. Another payment wave is expected at the end of October, and the final payment wave is expected in December.

Properties seeking verification of funding status can email the servicing HUD field office or CSPpayments@hud.gov.
