HUD has released its highly anticipated FAQs on how Medicare Advantage supplemental benefits may interact with HUD-assisted housing.

The final rule follows a years-long process to enhance and streamline the HOME Investment Partnerships Program, which many LeadingAge members use to develop new affordable housing for older adults.

Provided through the Older Adults Home Modification Program, the grants allow low-income older adults to stay in their homes through low-cost, high-impact modifications that will reduce their risk of falling.

The new RFI seeks input by Feb. 28^th on increasing the resilience of residential properties to natural hazards and extreme weather, which will help the agency develop policies that better support housing providers in addressing climate resilience and accessing affordable property insurance.
