Influenza Surveillance and Reporting Requirements, 2019-2020

The Department of Health (DOH) has issued its annual Health Advisory – Influenza Surveillance and Reporting Requirements for all health care providers, clinical laboratories, hospitals, long term care facilities, health care facilities, and local health departments. The document delineates the types of influenza to be reported, including who should report and how to do so. DOH started its influenza surveillance on Sept. 29, 2019 and will continue through the week ending May 16, 2020. Please review this document for the appropriate protocols.
