Home Health Provisions in Health Care Reform Bill

ABSTRACT: Impacts include rural add on and MBI increase.

AAHSA has provided NYAHSA a list of health care reform impacts for home health, adult day and hospice providers. Noteworthy impacts include:

• 2.2% market basket increase in 2010;
• 3% add on for rural home health providers;
• Development of a value-based purchasing system;
• CLASS provision that establishes a national insurance trust; and
• Independence at Home demonstration and Community-First Choice option.
