Commack Fountaingate Residents Celebrate 53rd Anniversary Of Woodstock

Members of the Flower Power movement may be in their 70s now, but nothing could stop them from celebrating the 53rd anniversary of the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival on Thurs., Aug. 18, 2022. At Fountaingate Gardens, some young at heart of the counterculture generation donned tie-dye fringe, headbands and peace signs for a day full of activities in commemoration of one of history’s most pivotal and popular music festivals.

Cloverwood Senior Living Gives Back!

Cloverwood Senior Living recently had a “tea-riffic” idea: combining a summer afternoon tea for residents with a back-to-school supplies drive. Residents who donated school supplies were treated to a special event featuring a variety of assorted finger sandwiches, cookies, hot tea and freshly brewed iced tea as a thank you for giving back.

County Executive McCoy Celebrates Shaker Place Executive Director Being Named AHCA “Administrator of the Year”

Albany County Executive Daniel P. McCoy recently celebrated Larry Slatky, executive director of the county-owned and operated Shaker Place Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, being named the American Health Care Association Administrator of the Year. The recognition followed County Executive McCoy announcing that Executive Director Slatky had been inducted into the American College of Health Care Administrators Hall of Fame as a member of the inaugural class back in April 2022.
