Workforce Employer Demand Surveys Posted for ACFs, Nursing Homes, and Home Care Providers
(Oct. 21, 2025) The Center for Health Workforce Studies (CHWS), along with LeadingAge NY, other long term care provider associations, and the NYS Department of Health (DOH), has issued two important surveys to gauge understanding of workforce issues, including turnover and vacancy rates for long term care providers.
Please note that participation in the surveys helps LeadingAge NY understand the workforce landscape and provides important facts and data for our advocacy. We encourage providers to participate.
By participating in the survey, you grant CHWS the right to collect and store your information. CHWS will administer the survey and share the information publicly only in aggregated form. Please do not provide any non-public personal information or protected health information when completing the survey. The various associations will use this information to assist with statewide and regional planning and analysis and to support ongoing legislative and regulatory advocacy efforts. The survey will be used by CHWS to collect information on potential recruitment and retention difficulties within nursing homes and adult care facilities (ACFs). Please note: you are responding for your facility or agency only, and not for your health care system.
- The Nursing Home and ACF Employer Demand Survey is due Nov. 3rd.
- The Home Health Care Employer Demand Survey is due Oct. 24th. This survey is for certified home health agencies (CHHAs), licensed home care services agencies (LHCSAs), hospices, public health departments, and other home health providers.
