State Opens New Digital Portal to Promote Child Care Assistance Program

(July 23, 2024) The State recently announced a new digital portal to facilitate participation in the NYS Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP), commonly referred to as the Subsidy Program, administered by local social services districts (LSSDs) and overseen by the NYS Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS).

The goal of the CCAP is to help Temporary Assistance (TA) and low-income families pay for child care in order to help them become self-sufficient. The CCAP helps eligible families with some or all of the cost of child care.

The portal allows families to check their eligibility, apply for assistance, and find child care providers within 10 minutes.

Please feel free to share with staff or interested individuals.
