Health Care Worker Bonus Payments to Be Released Soon

(July 23, 2024) Health Care Worker Bonus (HWB) payments for the fifth and final vesting period are expected to be paid to providers in Medicaid checks released in early August. LeadingAge NY staff are working to confirm the Medicaid cycle number and will share that information as soon as it is available.

As a reminder, employer payment to workers must happen 30 days after receipt of the funds. Unpaid HWB funds must be repaid to the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General (OMIG) using a set process provided for guidance.
