Immigration Actions Raise Concerns for Providers and Patients

(Feb. 3, 2025) Recent immigration actions by the Trump administration have raised concerns among providers regarding impacts on patients and the workforce. The administration's decision last week to vacate the extension of temporary protected status for Venezuelans, for example, may result in the cancellation of their employment authorizations in the coming months. LeadingAge, together with LeadingAge NY, is analyzing the impacts of these and other policy decisions and will provide guidance to members as more information becomes available.
