NYS Health Commissioner's February Grand Rounds to Highlight MPA Prevention Agenda
NYS Department of Health (DOH) Commissioner James V. McDonald, MD, MPH, has announced that he will present an introductory overview of the Master Plan for Aging (MPA) with an emphasis on prevention and preventative health at his Fri., Feb. 23rd Grand Rounds webinar session. Click here to register to attend the live webinar.
The Commissioner’s Medical Grand Rounds program offers an opportunity for health care professionals to hear from subject matter experts from both inside and outside of DOH about issues relevant to the health of all New Yorkers. The goal of the program is, in part, to ensure timely access to evidence-based information that can improve patient care, regardless of providers’ practice setting.
This session of the Grand Rounds program will feature Adam Herbst, Deputy Commissioner of Aging and Long-Term Care for DOH; Dr. Linda Fried, Dean of Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health and Director of the Robert N. Butler Columbia Aging Center; and Dr. Jo Ivey Boufford, Clinical Professor of Global Health at the New York University School of Public Health.
Grand Rounds webinars are free of charge for all providers in NYS. Advance registration is requested. However, those unable to attend the live webcast on Feb. 23rd are encouraged to sign up here to be notified when the webinar is posted.
