In a letter to the Governor's Commission on the Future of Health Care , LeadingAge NY emphasized the need for an appropriate level of reimbursement to ensure access to high-quality care throughout the long-term care continuum and enable all older adults to age with dignity in their preferred setting.  

At an educational session, the Public Health and Health Planning Council discussed a range of certificate of need reforms, including long-term care need methodologies and character and competence standards.

A Master Plan for Aging Town Hall event has been scheduled for Fri., May 17^th at SAGE Center Harlem.

The next Master Plan for Aging Town Hall has been scheduled for Thurs., March 7^th at 11 a.m. at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.

NYS shared an interim report on its MPA with workgroup participants last week, outlining dozens of "emerging potential proposals" under consideration.

The next Master Plan for Aging community engagement event will be hosted by the Stonewall Community Development Corp. on June 11^th.

A Master Plan for Aging Town Hall has been scheduled for Wed., May 22^nd at Church of the Epiphany in NYC.

The final Plan, based on the advisory report of recommendations from a year’s work by stakeholders, advocates, and the public, is expected to be adopted by Governor Hochul in early 2025.
