DOH Posts MRT Waiver Materials, Schedules Webinar
Based on feedback from the Centers on Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), the state has revised the MRT Waiver originally proposed in August 2012. While the waiver would still reinvest $10 billion in savings back into the state's health care system over five years, the mechanisms to do this have been updated to meet CMS limitations. The primary funding vehicles in the revised waiver submission are Delivery System Reform Incentive Payments (DSRIP). DOH is making the recently submitted revised materials available to the public for review and comment.
The MRT website has been updated to include documents on New York's MRT Waiver Amendment Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Plan. These documents include New York's DSRIP plan, a document outlining New York's strategy to implement some waiver programs through managed care contract requirements and state plan amendment, and a crosswalk document which ties the August 2012 waiver amendment submission to current status. These documents are available here.
A webinar has been scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 9 a.m. to provide an update to stakeholders on the MRT Waiver Amendment DSRIP plan, status of discussions with CMS, and next steps.
Registration for the webinar is required. Reserve your webinar seat now at: https://www1.gotomeeting.com/register/351142097
Slides from a previous DOH update webinar on the MRT Waiver revisions that was held on Dec. 4, 2013 are available here, while the LeadingAge NY summary of that presentation is here.
