Now Available: Free Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Toolkits
LeadingAge NY’s Diversity Committee has released its first two toolkits designed to bring awareness to diversity in long term care and help members statewide cultivate inclusive and equitable staffing and leadership models within their organizations.
Organizational focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) improves providers’ relationships with their staff, residents, and communities and can help cultivate a stable and sustainable long-term business model that leads to better outcomes for seniors served. The Organization Assessment Toolkit will help providers start candid conversations with their staff and leadership about current DEI policies, procedures, and future needs. The Organization Recruitment Toolkit offers creative strategies and resources to attract and retain a diverse workforce.
The Diversity Committee, comprised of LeadingAge NY members from across the state, is tasked with encouraging more diverse leadership in long term care by creating easy-to-adapt resources and programming.
