DataPoint: Nursing Home Census, December 2020

Based on LeadingAge NY's analysis of the most recent nursing home weekly bed availability reporting data, median statewide occupancy during December 2020 was 80.0 percent, down from 93.8 percent in January 2020. The Northeast New York region’s occupancy of 87.5 percent was the highest statewide, with the Buffalo region ranking second with 82.4 percent median occupancy. The Long Island region, in contrast, had the lowest median occupancy at 76.7 percent. The occupancy rate for each New York State home is available here.
