Staff/Resident Testing DOH Suspends Distribution of COVID Tests to Nursing Homes and ACFs: DOH has suspended monthly distributions of COVID test kits to nursing homes and ACFs. Members may contact their local emergency management office if they need test kits. Nursing homes and ACFs may also request test kits from HHS.

Staff/Resident Testing Update: CMS Rescinds Memo Limiting Uses of COVID-19 Rapid Antigen Tests: CMS has rescinded QSO 22-25-CLIA, issued on Sept. 26, 2022, which had limited the use of COVID-19 rapid antigen tests for testing asymptomatic individuals to the scope of the EUAs. As a result, providers with limited service lab registrations in New York State may continue to use any COVID-19 rapid antigen test with an EUA to test asymptomatic individuals.
