Provider Relief Reporting Webinar

Nursing home members should be aware of a free Nursing Home Infection Control (NHIC) reporting webinar to be presented by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) on Thurs., Feb. 17th at 3 p.m. The webinar is intended for nursing homes that received NHIC or Quality Incentive Program (QIP) payments of at least $10,000 from July 1st to Dec. 31, 2020. Registration is available here. Reporting Period 2 is the first time that providers will report on their NHIC payments. Attendees can expect to learn how to report NHIC allowable expenses, how to use the Provider Relief Fund (PRF) Reporting Portal, and what resources are available to assist with reporting during Reporting Period 2. The content will likely be similar to the content discussed during the Feb. 2nd webinar hosted by LeadingAge National and HRSA. A question-and-answer period can also be expected. Those who received NHIC dollars are required to complete their reporting by March 31, 2022. Providers should begin preparing supporting documentation for Period 2 reporting. A detailed description of the PRF General and Targeted Distributions reporting requirements is available here

Providers wishing to have their PRF Phase 4 and American Rescue Plan (ARP) payments reconsidered should know that that option is now available. Providers can submit their reconsideration application any time prior to 11:59 p.m. on May 2, 2022. Applicants are encouraged to apply early. The reconsideration request form, which can be found here, can be completed for both Phase 4 and ARP payments in a single application. The reconsideration process is intended for providers who believe their Phase 4 or ARP Rural payment was calculated incorrectly. This is not an opportunity to submit a new application, and no application corrections will be accepted. When completing the reconsideration application, providers will be required to submit some basic information about the original application and the reason they believe their payment was calculated incorrectly.
