Nov. 8th COVID-19 Update
New updates pertaining to the COVID-19 emergency continue to be announced by both the state and federal government on a regular basis. The latest developments for providers of long-term/post-acute care (LTPAC) and senior services are reviewed below.

Adult Care Facility (ACF)/Assisted Living (AL) Updates
ACF/AL Occupancy
Members can find occupancy rates for ACFs/AL facilities and Assisted Living Programs (ALPs) on the Data page of the LeadingAge NY website. The organization-specific as well as county median figures are from the most currently available quarterly Statistical Report (Q2 of 2022). The compilation shows both overall and ALP-specific occupancy. Newer ALP-specific data is not available, but those seeking a more current overall occupancy rate are invited to contact Darius Kirstein at dkirstein@leadingageny.org.
Affordable Housing/Independent Living Updates
CSP Round 5 Open Until Feb. 21, 2023
The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has opened the fifth and final round of COVID-19 Supplemental Payments (CSPs) for multifamily housing providers, including providers of project-based Section 8, Section 202, and Section 811. CSPs can help providers address operating cost increases incurred in preventing, preparing for, or responding to COVID-19 at their properties. The reimbursement request deadline for this round is Feb. 21, 2023, for expenses incurred through Jan. 31, 2023. Click here for more information.
