FREE Project Firstline Infection Control Training Available

Direct care staff of nursing homes and assisted living facilities are encouraged to access FREE infection control training through Project Firstline NY. The program is offered by the New York State Health Facilities Association (NYSHFA) and other provider associations across the state and is available through a grant program established and operated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Staff are encouraged to sign on to complete the FREE infection control modules for Project Firstline NY. The training series is offered through the Relias platform but is accessible for facilities regardless of access to Relias. Training offerings are in bite-size modules and are easy to access and absorb, so that staff are updated on infection control practices and protocols. This is a great opportunity for both facilities and staff. Not only will it cut down on staff absences, but it can also help with infection control surveys and be used for marketing purposes. If members have not done so already, please encourage your staff to sign up for this free, easy, and accessible training.
