NYC DOHMH Reminds Nursing Homes, ACFs, and Home Care Providers of NYC PPE Service Center Availability
Last week, the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC DOHMH) issued the below reminder to nursing homes, adult care facilities (ACFs), and home care providers regarding the availability of the NYC Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Service Center for their COVID-19-related PPE stockpile needs. Members should be sure to review the message and send any inquiries to the NYC DOHMH PPE Support email at PPEsupport@health.nyc.gov.
Thank you for everything that you are doing to keep your staff, clients, and the greater NYC community safe from COVID-19. As a reminder, the NYC PPE Service Center is available to all registered facilities to ensure that your PPE stockpile needs are met during the on-going pandemic. Not-for-profit entities will continue to be able to order from the PPE Service Center without charge.
Per the Surge and Flex Health Coordination System emergency rule, New York State requires certain health facilities (i.e., hospitals and long-term care facilities) to maintain a 60-day supply of PPE. In order to assist required facilities in meeting the 60-day PPE stockpile requirement, the NYC PPE Service Center will continue to waive PPE costs for all for-profit facilities. We encourage facilities to place their product orders with Medline. Notification will be provided to for-profit facilities when the temporary cost waiver period ends.
For questions about using Medline or placing an order, please call the Medline NYC Customer Service Desk at 866-478-1490 x2222 or email them at NYCCustomerSupport@medline.com. If you have any questions regarding the contents of this message or other relevant matters, please submit inquiries to PPE Support at PPESupport@health.nyc.gov.
