The CDC continues to provide updated resources with the respiratory virus season just around the corner.

Comments on the CMS proposed regulation to make NHSN reporting permanent and expand the scope of data collection are due by Aug. 26, 2024.

The CDC recommends that everyone ages 6 months and older receive an updated 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine and an updated 2024-2025 flu vaccine to protect against the potentially serious outcomes of COVID-19 and flu this fall and winter.

Some nursing homes have received letters from DOH identifying areas of non-compliance in response to their infection prevention audits. The letters require facilities to provide updated policies and/or additional information.
