CMS Announces Financial Incentives for Nurses to Work in Nursing Homes As part of its national Nursing Home Staffing Campaign, launched last month, CMS issued a Notice of Funding Opportunity seeking applicants to administer financial incentives, such as tuition reimbursement and stipends, to RNs to work for three years in a qualifying nursing home or as inspectors with a state survey agency.

New Medicare NOMNC and DENC in Effect as of Jan. 1st As of Jan. 1st, providers have been required to use a revised Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage and Detailed Explanation of Non-Coverage for patients and residents covered by Original Medicare. For patients and residents covered by Medicare Advantage plans, the revised DENC is not required until April 1, 2025, although the revised NOMNC must be used as of Jan. 1st.
