DOH Regional Offices Shifting Directions on Outdoor Visitation and Other Activities During Nursing Home Outbreaks – UPDATED Updating what was reported on our Monday webinar, LeadingAge NY is now hearing from nursing home members that some DOH regional offices are reversing instructions that had relaxed restrictions on outdoor visitation and social activities during outbreaks. They are now instructing nursing homes that outdoor visitation may proceed during an outbreak only for residents who are not on transmission-based precautions. Members are urged to contact their regional offices on these issues.

Draft House Bill: $2.5 Billion for New Section 202 Homes The House Financial Services Committee considered 17 bills as part of its hearing on housing infrastructure legislation on April 14th, including a draft bill that would provide $2.5 billion for the Section 202 Supportive Housing for the Elderly program. The funding could also be used to provide residents with access to high-speed internet.
