LeadingAge NY President and CEO Sebrina Barrett testified at the Joint Legislative Budget Hearing on Health/Medicaid today, calling for meaningful investments dedicated to long-term care and aging services.

This afternoon, Governor Hochul presented her SFY 2026-27 Executive Budget Proposal, releasing the budget briefing book entitled “Your Family. Your Future. My Fight” along with accompanying budget bills. LeadingAge NY provides a high-level summary of the proposals relevant for members as we understand them so far.

TPS status for Haitians remains in place, although the federal government is likely to appeal the ruling.
