Webinar Offered: Infection Prevention and Control – Fall Preparation
(Nov. 12, 2024) The Department of Health (DOH) issued a communication last week encouraging providers to attend a federal infection control presentation being offered on Wed., Nov. 13th. It reminds providers that all nursing homes, adult care facilities (ACFs), and home care providers should prepare and monitor an effective Infection Prevention Control Plan. The notice included the following details:
Please join the Quality Innovation Network and Quality Improvement Organizations (QIN-QIO) for an overview of Infection Prevention and Control Fall Preparation. Through participation, attendees will demonstrate the ability to:
-Describe an overview of an Infection Prevention and Control Plan (IPCP).
-Review common fall/winter preparation.
-Determine elements of the IPCP.
-Discover outbreak management.
-Consider a facility immunization campaign.
-Review vaccine resources.
