SNF Provider Preview Reports Now Available

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released updated Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Provider Preview Reports. These reports can be accessed by selecting the Certification and Survey Provider Enhanced Reporting (CASPER) link on the Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (QIES) welcome page. The preview reports contain quality measure performance scores that will be published at the July 2023 Care Compare refresh. The reports are based on:

assessment data submitted by providers for Quarter 4, 2021 through Quarter 3, 2022;
the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage among Healthcare Personnel (HCP) measure for Quarter 3, 2022;
claims-based measures for Quarters 3 and 4, 2019 and Quarter 3, 2020 through Quarter 2, 2021; and
the Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAI) measure for Quarter 4, 2020 through Quarter 3, 2021.

Providers who believe the quality measure scores to be inaccurate can request a CMS review of the data prior to the review deadline of May 15, 2023.
