SNF Open Door Forum Scheduled for Dec. 8th

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has scheduled a Skilled Nursing Facility/Long Term Care Open Door Forum for Thurs., Dec. 8^th from 1 to 2 p.m. ET. The expected topics of discussion include Nursing Home Care Compare and the transition of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) to the Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) environment. Along with general training, that transition requires providers to designate security officials, create accounts, and assign roles. CMS shared the following links to transition resources in the Open Door Forum announcement:

The updates will be followed by a question and answer session. To participate by phone on Dec. 8^th at 1 p.m., dial 1-888-455-1397 and enter conference passcode 510 9694. No registration is required, but participants are urged to call in 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.

For those unable to participate in person, an Instant Replay feature will be available one hour after the call ends. It will be accessible until Dec. 10^th by dialing 1-866-388-5331. No passcode is needed for the replay.
