MDS Coding Errors Webinar Now Available

The recorded version of "New York's Common MDS Coding Errors: Strategies to Improve MDS Accuracy" is now available for viewing. Please go to www.mds-ny.org and click on the “Resources” tab, you will then see a link entitled “New York’s Common MDS Coding Errors: Strategies to Improve MDS Accuracy,” which will lead you to the recorded webinar and helpful links. Please email coned@albany.edu for assistance if needed.

The webinar provides an overview of MDS best practices, and highlights areas that have been susceptible to error. The School of Public Health is writing answers to the questions received during the webinar, and will issue a Questions and Answers document once completed. LeadingAge NY is working with State officials to address some of the issues that members have encountered during MDS audits by the Office of Medicaid Inspector General.
