Manage Your Compliance Thresholds for FY 2025 APU

The Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Prospective Payment System (PPS) Final Rule was published in the Federal Register on Aug. 7, 2023. In it, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released the Quality Reporting Program (QRP) measures that will be used to determine the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Annual Payment Update (APU). Communities that actively manage their compliance thresholds will be more likely to avoid the 2 percent reduction in their APU. The deadline for the first quarter of 2023 elapsed on Aug. 15, 2023, but there is still time to initiate a plan for the remaining three quarters of 2023.
