June SNF VBP Feedback Reports Now Available

(June 11, 2024) The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted the June Quarterly Confidential Feedback Reports for the Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Value-Based Purchasing (VBP) Program. These reports contain Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2023 facility and stay-level data for the SNF 30-Day All-Cause Readmission Measure (SNFRM). Members will recall that facility performance on the SNFRM in FFY 2023 will be used to calculate the VBP multiplier that will impact their Medicare rate beginning on Oct. 1, 2024.

The reports offer providers the opportunity to review their performance and correct any errors that CMS may have made in calculating the readmission rate. Correction requests must be filed by July 3, 2024. They should be addressed to SNFVBP@rti.org with the subject line “SNF VBP Review and Correction Inquiry” and contain the facility’s name, certification number, and the reason for the request. Note that this is not an opportunity to correct or update data previously submitted by the facility.

To access your report on the Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES):

• Log into iQIES using your Health Care Quality Information Systems (HCQIS) Access Roles and Profile (HARP) user ID and password.
• In the Reports menu, select My Reports.
• From the My Reports page, locate the Minimum Data Set (MDS) 3.0 Provider Preview Reports folder. Select the MDS 3.0 Provider Preview Reports link to open the folder.
• Locate the desired SNF VBP Program Quarterly Confidential Feedback Report.
• Once located, select “More” next to your desired SNF VBP Program Feedback Report, and the report will be downloaded through your browser. Once downloaded, open the file to view your facility’s report.
