Additional details from the call include:

The New York 1135 waiver is official and effective for 60 days, retroactive to October 27.
The waiver only applies to federal requirements.
The waiver is renewable beyond the 60 days as requested by the state.
The waiver includes a temporary elimination of the 3 day hospital qualifying stay for Medicare Part A coverage eligibility.

The waiver provisions as detailed in the Medicare FFS – Emergency Q&As are in force during the period that the waiver is in effect.  Requests for waiving additional federal requirements beyond those listed in the Q&A must be submitted individually to CMS Region II and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
