FREE Series of Webinars on CMS Quality Measures in 2015

Register below for the first three webinars in the series presented by the EQUIP team. More webinars are coming in Fall 2015, covering topics such as falls, ADLs, incontinence and pressure ulcers.

Tues., Feb. 17, 11 a.m.:

Exploring the Quality Measure Logic

Join us as we review the CMS Quality Measures and the logic behind them. We’ll define long-stay and short-stay as it applies to the measures and describe episodes and stays, look-back scans, target periods and more. Click here to register.

Wed., March 18, 2 p.m.:

Understanding the Short-Stay Quality Measures for Pain and Pressure Ulcers

In this session, we will review the definitions of these two important measures, including the criteria for the numerator and denominator; the exclusions for each measure and in the case of pressure ulcers, the covariates that are used for risk adjustment. We will then generate EQUIP reports to delve deeper into these measures for use in quality improvement and care planning. Click here to register.

Thurs., April 16, 11 a.m.:

Understanding the Long-Stay and Short-Stay Quality Measures for Antipsychotics

During this session, we will review both the long-stay and short-stay measures for antipsychotics, exploring their similarities and differences and discuss CMS’ initiative to reduce antipsychotics, especially among residents with dementia. Click here to register.
