DOH Posts 2023 NHQI Preview Score Sheets

(Nov. 26, 2024) The Department of Health (DOH) has posted 2023 Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI) score sheets on the Health Commerce System (HCS) for feedback. This provides nursing homes the opportunity to review their data in advance of it being finalized and made publicly available. Should a provider identify any errors in the State’s calculations or have questions regarding the score sheet, please email DOH at NHQP@health.ny.gov. Please note that this is NOT an opportunity to update the data on which the measures are calculated. Any questions or feedback should be submitted to DOH no later than Dec. 6, 2024.

After the feedback process, the Department will finalize the results, make final quintile assignments, and work on processing the associated payment adjustments. Facilities in the top three quintiles will see a positive adjustment, while those in the fourth or fifth quintile will receive a negative adjustment.
