CDC Develops Website Dedicated to LTC Providers and Consumers

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) long term care website is aimed toward nursing homes and assisted living facilities, and offers information for clinical staff, residents and other consumers.  

The site has a wealth of infection control information and includes:   

  • Guidance documents, resources, CDC presentations and reports on common infections
  • Links to information about common infections: Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae (CRE); C. difficile; Influenza; Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA); Norovirus; Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI)
