CMS has expanded the Nursing Home Compare website to reflect three standard surveys and three years of complaint surveys rather than the previous single survey cycle. 

The long-stay antipsychotic measure reported on Nursing Home Compare will replace the surveyor antipsychotic measure that has, until recently, appeared on the CASPER reports.  

The immunization report is due to DOH by May 1, 2013.

LeadingAge NY recommends further revisions to DOH’s proposal for a 2013 nursing home quality pool. Our comments call for appropriate risk adjustment of selected quality measures; greater emphasis on staffing measures based on solid data; accounting for variations in the survey process; and changes to the avoidable hospitalizations measure.
