Per CMS, the date the facility receives the SOD is considered Day 0, and Day 1 is the first full calendar day following receipt of the SOD, meaning that the facility has a complete 10 calendar days to respond.

The pause will remain in effect until Oct. 29, 2025, when the next scheduled quarterly refresh is expected.

The change reflects a broader transition back to traditional survey methods while preserving the ability to investigate infection control concerns through targeted complaint-driven reviews.

SNFs have until Aug. 14, 2025 to review their performance data for measures that will be publicly reported during the October 2025 refresh.
