DOH has developed a two-part training course (OALTC-576) available on the LMS, offering nursing homes a step-by-step guide for completing role assignments and submitting ePOCs.

Following the federal government shutdown, data released on Nursing Home Care Compare and in iQIES was reportedly inaccurate. CMS provided an additional unplanned refresh on Dec. 16^th to resolve these issues, and the Five-Star Reports were updated and sent to LeadingAge members.

The directors shared updates on the work of their division in a meeting with the LeadingAge NY Nursing Home Cabinet.

The resources include a standardized application and budget attachment; a comprehensive application handbook with details on allowable expenses, application tips, and a sample project application; a FAQ document; and a new resource outlining available CMPRP funds by state.

Changes include the respecification of the Long Stay Antipsychotic Measure and a risk adjustor modification to the function measures based on the removal of item O0400 from the MDS version 1.20.1 and the SNF QM User’s Manual V7.0 effective beginning Oct. 1, 2025.

The Moving Forward Coalition is seeking nursing homes to pilot a newly developed person-centered planning toolkit and training. The Coalition is working with Kansas State University to launch the toolkit in selected facilities.

Following a letter sent by LeadingAge National to CMS on Nov. 13^th urging consideration of key priorities after the federal government shutdown, CMS updated Nursing Home Care Compare on Nov. 20^th.
