Medicaid Rate Update

Nursing homes continue to wait for three rate adjustments originally expected earlier in the year. The Department of Health (DOH) reports that the 2013 Nursing Home Quality Initiative rate adjustments will be sent to e-MedNY this week. Updates to the Jan. 1, 2015 rate to reflect the July, 2014 CMI is expected shortly thereafter. DOH has been struggling with technical difficulties when making systemic rate updates, but hopes that those have been now resolved. We will inform members of the Medicaid rate cycles of the adjustments when they are known.
