Has Your Nursing Home Been Contacted by OIG?

(Oct. 28, 2025) The Office of Inspector General (OIG) of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is conducting interviews with nursing homes in NYS related to the processes and challenges of the State’s minimum spending requirements.

Several nursing homes were contacted and informed that they were randomly selected to participate in the OIG review. Providers were asked to take part in virtual interviews lasting approximately 30 minutes, which were conducted over the course of the past two weeks. OIG requested that interview attendees include the facility Administrator as well as those responsible for submitting the Medicaid cost report.

We ask that members who may have received such an invitation let us know about their experience.
