Nursing Home QAPI Rollout

CMS announced the rollout of introductory materials to help nursing homes establish a foundation to implement and sustain QAPI. These materials are now available on the CMS QAPI website:

QAPI Tools - process tools, within QAPI at a Glance, to help providers establish a foundation in QAPI
QAPI News Brief - newsletter describing basic principles of QAPI
Video - Nursing Home QAPI - What's in it for you? - introduces QAPI, its value to residents, their families and caregivers, and what is in it for nursing homes that embrace QAPI

Following the roll out of QAPI materials, CMS plans to (1) assess the development of QAPI systems, (2) identify what types of technical assistance to make available to nursing homes in the future; and (3) determine the potential impact of technical assistance on advancing QAPI in nursing homes.
